Programs and Events
The annual Global Experiential Learning (Global X) trip to South Africa is designed to understand concepts of anti-racism and gentrification by conducting a comparative analysis of the South African Apartheid system to racialized issues in the United States. The Inclusive Leadership Conference, established in 2009, was created to host training, conversations and workshops aimed at developing inclusive principles. It is open to all Philadelphia-area college students.
Co-sponsored by IDEAL, University Housing and Residential Life and CampusPhilly, this conference is designed as a means of enhancing conversations and actions that stimulate a conscious, thoughtful society.

National Coming Out Week (NCOW) is a host of programs, events and activities held annually for a 5-7 day period in October to bring awareness to National Coming Day, celebrated on October 11th. Learn More about our NCOW programming.
IDEAL and university partners host an LGBTQIA welcome week event, ‘OuTu’. This event is designed to showcase the broad variety of opportunities and organizations that are open and welcoming to incoming and returning LGBTQIA students.
Owl Talk dialogues are facilitated by Diversity Peers and happen once a month during the academic school year. Each conversation has a different topic to address historical and/or current hot topics.
